Doctoral Students
Doctoral Students
For doctoral students, the academic requirements are more extensive, with 60 hours of mandatory academic modules and 15 hours of elective content, for a total of 75 hours. Students also complete 45 hours of mandatory hands-on workshops and 15 hours of elective workshops, for a total of 60 hours of practical training.
Doctoral students undertake a mobility internship of at least two months, following the same process as master’s students, including the development of a pre-approved research plan and the submission of a postinternship report. They also complete an eight-month industrial training internship, providing more indepth exposure to production scale-up, quality control, regulatory affairs, and clinical trial processes under the supervision of an industry mentor.
Throughout the program, doctoral students are expected to participate in at least 50% of ICARE-Nanomed webinars and Annual Research Days and complete six professional development modules offered through Mitacs or their host institution. Together, these activities provide advanced scientific, technical, regulatory, and professional training to prepare doctoral students for careers in the nanomedicine sector.
